A blueprint for video-led hiring: the careers page is the only place it can be measured
Applicant-tracking systems do not carry video viewing to the candidate record. That one gap decides where a hiring film sits, who buys it, and what anyone is entitled to claim about it.
A hiring film is the easiest video in B2B to justify and the hardest to measure, and both facts come from the same place: the system that runs your hiring was not built to receive it.
The gap, stated plainly
Applicant-tracking systems do not carry video viewing to the candidate record. There is no field for it, no connector that fills one, and no version of this that ends with a recruiter seeing "watched the culture film" beside a name.
This is not a tooling gap we expect to close. It is a description of what applicant-tracking systems are for — they track applications, from the point an application exists. Everything a candidate does before that point happens somewhere the ATS cannot see.
So the honest measurement for hiring video is at the careers page and the application source. That is M0: you see what was watched. It is the floor of our ladder, and for this funnel it is also the ceiling.
Why that changes who buys it
A sales asset argues for itself by reaching a CRM. A hiring asset cannot, so it has to argue for itself on the hiring problem instead — and that puts it on HR's budget rather than marketing's.
This turns out to be the faster route. HR sign-off does not wait for a marketing budget cycle, and the trigger is usually concrete: an active hiring push, a new office, a GCC build-out, a funding round. The employer branding film is the entry product for exactly that reason.
The three assets, and what each is for
The employer branding film is for the senior engineer weighing a return to Kerala — the candidate who has an offer elsewhere and is deciding about a place as much as a job.
The culture and day-in-the-life series is for the candidate who wants to meet the people before the first interview rather than after it.
The role-specific requisition asset is built for one open role: the work, the team, the first ninety days. Its job is to make the applications that arrive come from people who read the job properly.
All three are measured at the careers page and the application source, and none of them will be reported as anything else.
What we will not claim
We will not tell you a film filled a role. We will not attribute a hire to a view, quote a per-hire figure we did not measure, or imply that the ATS is carrying a signal it cannot carry.
What you get instead is a level, stated before you sign: what will be visible, where it will be visible, and what the tooling makes impossible. A supplier who promises more than that on a hiring funnel is describing an integration that does not exist.

Forty-five minutes. We review your current video and web presence, name three gaps mapped to funnel stages, and show you live view data from your own audit video, hosted on our Vidyard, so you see the measurement working before you buy it. You leave with a three-video plan and a Starter quote against it.
