Why we split the explainer into two products

One explainer at two prices is a discount, not a product. Two explainers are two different builds, and the honest version of the choice is to say which one a product actually needs.

Most production companies sell one explainer and quote it differently depending on what they think you will pay. We sell two, at two bands, and the difference between them is what is in the file rather than what is on the invoice.

The two builds

The AI-assisted explainer runs ₹60,000–1,20,000 ex-GST. It uses a template motion system and a library or synthetic voice, with a human script and a human final pass. Three to four weeks, one revision.

The bespoke explainer runs ₹1,50,000–2,50,000 ex-GST. Original illustration or animation, a human voice, full art direction. Three to four weeks, two to three revisions.

Same turnaround. Different work, and a band that reflects it.

Why not one product

Because a single product priced twice forces a conversation nobody benefits from. The buyer asks what the cheaper version leaves out, and the honest answer — less of everything — is not a specification. It is a negotiation dressed as a tier, and it ends with the client uncertain what they bought.

Two products let us answer a better question: which of these does your argument need? A product whose value is obvious once shown can carry a template motion system without losing anything. A product whose argument depends on a concept nobody has seen before cannot, and paying template money for it wastes the budget rather than saving it.

That is a judgment about the product, not the budget, and it is made at the audit before anything is quoted.

What the self-serve tools changed

Self-serve tools can make an explainer for under ₹2,500 a month, and it is worth being precise about what that does and does not displace.

It displaces the bottom of the old market — the explainer that existed to tick a box on a website. It does not write the script that makes an export buyer trust you, and it cannot tell you who watched. Both of ours are human-reviewed before anything ships, and both are specified at M1, which means your reps can know who watched and how far.

The AI-assisted product is priced against those tools deliberately. It is what a template motion system is worth when a human writes the argument and signs off the final pass — not what a bespoke build is worth with corners removed.

What this means if you are choosing

If the product explains itself once someone sees it work, the AI-assisted build is the right one and the bespoke build is overspending. If the argument is the hard part, the template will flatten it and the cheaper option is the expensive mistake.

We will say which one we think it is, at the audit, before there is a quote to defend.
