Culture and day-in-the-life series

A culture and day-in-the-life series is a set of assets showing the teams a candidate would join and an ordinary working day, built for the talent lead and published where candidates look before applying.

The pressure it answers

A senior candidate deciding between two offers is deciding between two sets of people, and has met neither. The information available to them is a careers page and whatever the company’s employees have said publicly. Everything that distinguishes one engineering team from another is the part nobody has written down.

A culture series is what follows the employer branding film once the hiring push turns out not to be a single mandate. We scope it as a set rather than as one asset, shoot it against the teams a candidate would actually join, and cut each pillar and its derivatives from the same days.

It is measured where hiring is measured, which is the careers page and the application source. Applicant-tracking systems do not carry video viewing to the candidate record, and no part of this asset is scoped as though they did.

The runtime, the number of assets and the shoot days are bracketed above because they are set against a company’s own hiring plan at the audit, and nothing here guesses at them.

What ships

Every asset delivers to the same convention, whichever tier it is built under. Masters are kept 90 days and Frame.io is the only review surface.

How it is measured

We specify the tracking and verify it once at handover. You configure your own CRM. We never hold admin credentials.

The measurement level this asset supports, what we specify and what you configure.

M0 You see what was watched We specify where assets are hosted and the monthly view and retention report format. You configure nothing. Included in every retainer.

Applicant-tracking systems do not carry video viewing to the candidate record. The talent funnel is measured at the careers page and the application source, and we will not imply otherwise.

How the three levels work

What this asset does not do.

No spend-per-hire or acquisition figure is attributed to this series.

No claim that video viewing reaches the candidate record in your applicant-tracking system.

No application or view count while there is no client data.

This asset is scoped against your own plan at the audit and quoted there. A rate for one asset without the set it belongs to is a number with nothing behind it, which is why the Measurement Blueprint is quoted the same way rather than listed.

Culture and day-in-the-life series, answered plainly

What is a culture and day-in-the-life series?

A culture and day-in-the-life series is a set of assets showing the teams a candidate would join and an ordinary working day, built for the talent lead and published where candidates look before applying. It follows the employer branding film rather than replacing it.

Who buys a culture series?

HR or the talent lead buys the culture series, on the same budget as the employer branding film. It is normally commissioned on a Starter retainer after the first film has run, rather than as a one-time project.

How is a culture and day-in-the-life series measured?

A culture and day-in-the-life series is measured at M0, at the careers page and the application source. Applicant-tracking systems do not carry video viewing to the candidate record, so those two points are the honest ones and LowLightKing will not imply otherwise.

When does a company commission a culture series?

A culture series is commissioned once an employer branding film exists and the hiring push is continuing rather than closing. It is a retainer asset by shape — a set built over months — which is why it appears on the Starter tier and not on the one-time rate card.

We review your current video and web presence, name three gaps mapped to funnel stages, and show you live view data from your own audit video, hosted on our Vidyard, so you see the measurement working before you buy it. You leave with a three-video plan and a Starter quote against it.
